Sydney is a city renowned for its breathtaking natural harbour and picturesque costal landscapes, our city’s dynamic culture is celebrated best through our iconic harbourfront landmarks. Jørn Utzon’s Sydney Opera House is arguably the city’s most distinctive building, combining a number of public spaces and facilities to create a welcoming environment that is both stunning to look at and culturally viable. My project aims to refurbish an underutilized space, giving Manley’s Quarantine Beach new life and purpose, in the form of architectural redevelopment. I have explored the use of form and direction to create an inviting space that is unimposing.
